Ros Bedlow

Associate (behaviour change) 

Ros has a background in teaching and over ten years’ experience of delivering energy efficiency advice. She has developed and delivered a wide range of advice services for Carbon Descent, working with schools, community groups and local residents. Before becoming an associate Ros managed the Education and Advice Team at Carbon Descent and was responsible for a variety of projects including surveys, assessments, audits and energy roadshows. With a particular interest in working with diverse communities, Ros developed and delivered an advice project for non-English speakers involving training bilingual volunteers to deliver energy efficiency advice in their mother tongue.

Carbon Descent experience:

  • Delivery of Ecostiler, focusing on behaviour change in schools, workshops for residents in Lambeth and development of a portable exhibition on energy efficiency and renewable energy
  • Delivery of a three year energy saving project on the Aylesbury Estate in Southwark
  • Development and delivery of energy efficiency advice project for non-English speakers, funded by the Big Lottery Fund
  • Developing and hosting climate change focus groups
  • Management and delivery of ECHO Action, working with groups of households to reduce their carbon emissions

    Qualifications:

    PGCE in Modern Languages

    Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental and Development Education

    City and Guilds Diploma in Energy Awareness

    City and Guilds Diploma in Renewable Energy in the Home
