Lewis Stevens
Energy Consultant
Lewis joined Carbon Descent in September 2008 after completing a mechanical engineering degree at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand. He works as an Energy Consultant within the Consultancy and Installations team and focuses on renewable energy (solar PV, solar thermal, wind turbines, CHP, ground source heat pumps, etc) energy efficiency (community heating, appliances, insulation, energy use, etc) and other environmental measures.
Carbon Descent experience:
- Investigating community heating networks and CHP options to inform a funding bid to the EU Concerto fund for a scheme in Greater Manchester
- Quantifying emissions rates for National Indicator 185 for the London Borough of Greenwich
- Performed comprehensive energy audit of the Cass Field Station, Arthurs Pass, New Zealand. This involved a full survey of the energy use and performance of the building, and production of recommendations based on improving both efficiency and performance. A feasibility study for a small scale wind turbine was also included as part of the study
