Julie Allen

Software Manager

Julie began at Carbon Descent as a Knowledge Transfer Partnership Associate working with London South Bank University, developing configurable software to streamline the environmental assessment process and thus enhance the service offered by Carbon Descent. She now manages our software development team.

Julie has 14 years experience in the IT industry covering all aspects of software development, including project management, specification and design. In addition she has provided ongoing support both for existing systems and new ventures.

Carbon Descent experience:

  • Reviewing energy performance models and systems,
  • Conducting energy and environmental audits for private businesses, charities and schools for LB Islington,
  • One off environmental assessments for individual organisations.

Qualifications:

BSc (Hons) Computer Science
MSc Architecture: Advanced Environmental and Energy Studies
Affiliate member of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers
