With Pumpkins powered by low energy lightbulbs and free face painting, it was a fun and unusual way to keep the kids entertained while the adults received their free light bulbs and asked us any questions they may have had on saving money and energy in the home.

ASDA energy efficiency advice for families

During the 2006 Energy Saving Week, run annually by the Energy Saving Trust across the UK, Carbon Descent gave free advice to local parents while their kids where queuing for a free face paint in ASDA on Old Kent Road. The Halloween event gave parents a chance to fill in a Home Energy Check form and find out how they could save energy, reduce bills and help the environment in their own home. The parents received a free low energy light bulb and were entered into a prize draw run by Southwark Council to win an A rated fridge/freezer.
